Después de unos meses sin actualizar el blog, vuelvo con la segunda edición de SIQ ( "Sí, quiero") Sevilla Handcraft and Fashion, la semana de la moda nupcial artesana en Sevilla.

Una vez más Alejandro Postigo me brinda la oportunidad de ilustrar su invitación para su desfile del jueves 14 de mayo.


After  a few months without updating the blog I come back with the second edition os SIQ  ( the `Yes, I do´ answer to the most important question in a wedding) Seville Handcraft and Fashion, the bridal fashion week in Seville.

Once again, Alejandro Postigo gives me the opportunity to illustrate the invitation to his fashion show on May, 14.

SIMOF 2015

Pedro Béjar

Llega SIMOF, el Salón Internacional de la Moda Flamenca y en esta edición, la vigésimo primera, tengo el honor de participar de cierta manera, apoyando e ilustrando la presentación y nacimiento de un nuevo diseñador, Pedro Béjar.

Su colección bebe de lo más puro y elegante de la copla desde los años 50 hasta los 90 y así lo he querido plasmar. 

Para ello me he inspirado en el rostro elegantísimo de Natalie Portman para crear una flamenca muy de Pedro, con sutiles toques de lo que podremos ver el jueves, 5 de febrero de 2015, en la pasarela de esta nueva edición de SIMOF.

Here it comes SIMOF again, the international runway of the "Flamenco" fashion, in its 21th edition.

I´m so honored participating in it, in a certain way, supporting and illustrating Pedro Béjars´s  presentation and birth as a new designer.

His collection is based in the elegance and pureness of the ancient Spanish songs: copla, from the 50s to the 90s, so I´d wanted to express it.

The inspiration came from the elegant of Natalie Portman´s face, creating a `flamenca´ typical in Pedro´s imaginary, with subtle touches of Pedro´s collection that will be showed in SIMOF catwalk the next February 5, 2015.

Paloma San Basilio in Alejandro Postigo.

 

 

 

 

 

Months ago, my friend Alejandro Postigo asked me for help illustrating his designs for Paloma San Basilio, a great Spanish artist of all time. She was to appeared in Sevilla Magazine cover wearing different dresses designed and done by Alejandro, but he´s always working in so many things, thus he gave me this great opportunity.

Here you are the results:

Meses atrás, mi amigo Alejandro Postigo, del que ya os he dejado alguna que otra entrada, me pidió que ilustrara los trajes que había diseñado para Paloma San Basilio, que iba a ser portada de la revista Sevilla Magazine e iba a protagonizar un bonito reportaje llevando alguno de sus trajes. Alejandro tiene siempre un importante volumen de trabajo, hecho este que me dio esta gran oportunidad.

Last month I participated in a very special photo shoot as the creative director. What an experience! It was wonderful! 

We were shooting Alejandro Postigo´s new collection in a session called `MissCellaneous´.  Erregiro was the photographer and María García Caballero was the model. The assistants were Leo Rossi, Leticia Alfaro and Queen Gómez.

Part of the images of this session were used for a report in Sevilla Magazine, talking about Alejandro´s works. And they used as main image a stylism that I created using different pieces, all by the designer.

Engendro took that idea and here she is.

El mes pasado participé en una sesión de fotos muy especial para mi ya que fui el director creativo. ¡Qué experiencia tan maravillosa!

Estuvimos fotografiando la nueva colección de Alejandro Postigo. La sesión se llamó "MissCellaneous".  Erregiro fue el fotógrafo y María García Caballero fue la modelo. Los asistentes fueron Leo Rossi, Leticia Alfaro y Queen Gómez.

Parte de esas imágenes fueron utilizadas en un reportaje que ha publicado este mes Sevilla Magazine sobre la trayectoria de Alejandro y utilizaron como imagen principal un estilismo que creé mezclando distintas prendas, todas del diseñador.

Engendro tomó buena nota y aquí la tenéis.
